| Description: | The biggest shopping day of the year, referred to as "Black Friday" by businesses because this day generates so many sales that businesses that were losing money ("in the red") before Thanksgiving can make a profit ("in the black") for the year. The terms "red" and "black" come from when accountants used ledger books instead of computers. Red ink was used for losses and black ink was used for profits. But to what really matters.... The CO confided in me that he wants UFO poncho in cammo. The XO said he really didn't want anything but if someone just had to get him something then he wants a DirecTV dish. Both the CO & XO would be grateful if everyone would pitch in & get the administrative staff a day pass for spa treatments. So what do all of you want for Christmas? |
